Drinking Water

lady-drinking-water.jpg

Drinking water is very important. It has the healing ability to flush out toxins especially after a massage.

Once you have had your massage, the toxins are pushed out from their hiding spots and are flowing around the body.

Hydrating your muscles and ligaments on a frequent basis help to strengthen and keep the muscle from tightening up or cramping.Drinking water as much as 4 liters a day could be the difference between feeling great and feeling mediocre.

When we are talking about drinking water, I don’t mean tea, coffee, soft drinks, beer, wine etc. The water must be water only to get a flushing effect in the body.

If the water has other sugars or flavors in it, you are just putting toxins back into your body. A good water filter on your tap at home can give you pure drinking water.

Most of our city water supplies have chlorine, fluoride and other greebees that are in the water. Most of those toxins are taken out by the water filters micro filtration system.Giving you a nice tasting water that is good for you.

Epsom salts bath after a massage

Many of you who we have had massage for specific problems and received deep tissue work has heard a recommendation that a nice, hot bath in Epsom Salts that evening. Has a really great effect on sore muscles.

Did you know, for instance, that soaking a splinter in Epsom salts can release the splinter and help the area to heal? Many people know that Epsom salts work to relax tight muscles and are found in many bath salt products, but Epsom salts actually have dozens of healthful benefits. Epsom salts - magnesium sulfate - are a natural way to treat skin problems, relax the nervous system, and draw impurities and toxins from the body.

Soak aching, tired heels and feet in a tray of warm water with half a cup of Epsom salts not only make your feet feel better, but they’ll smell better too. Epsom salts work to neutralize odor and soften skin. Soak your feet for about 20 minutes or until they feel better then rinse and dry well.

A full bath should contain 2 cups of dissolved Epsom salts for relief of sore, worn and tired feet, back muscles, legs, and bruises or just to soften hard cracking skin. I highly recommend this after any massage or bodywork treatment especially deep tissue massage, as it can actually help prevent most of the soreness one might experience after having a massage.

If you have any strained muscles or sprains, you can take 1 cup of Epsom salts and make a “pack” with it to place on the affected area, wrap with hot towel and allow it to rest for 20 minutes. Butt this can be alot less messy and more relaxing if done in the bath.
